Short Term Changes
Black African American students in desegregated schools (especailly high schools) students could not participaite in any after school activities such as: band, glee club, track and field, football, softball, etc. They were only allowed to go to school. "That would be an aclomplishment" said Ernest Green.
Long Term Changes
Because of these nine teens akin a chance, all races are now equal and all schools are desegregated. To this day, the Little Rock Nine are remembered as the pioneers of African American equality in the United States. They were all invited to President Barrack Obama's Inaugural Ceremony, and Marquette University recently awarded them the Père Marquette Discovery Award, a prestigious award previously awarded only to the Apollo 11 Astronauts, Mother Teresa, and very few others.
